CNC Machine Operator/Setter in Luton
Newstaff Recruitment Agency is currently recruiting for a CNC Machine Operator/Setter on behalf of our client based in Luton.
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Rotating day and night shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up CNC and manual machines, including shot blasters, lasers, and cutters, to produce high-quality components.
- Monitor machine performance, ensuring optimal settings and making adjustments as required.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimise downtime.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company and client specifications.
- Identify and resolve defects or inconsistencies during production.
- Work effectively within a team to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Communicate with supervisors and colleagues regarding progress, challenges, or suggestions for process improvement.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations while operating machinery.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Process Improvement:
- Contribute ideas for improving efficiency, quality, and workflows.
- Learn and adapt to new technologies as they are introduced into the manufacturing process.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience operating and setting manual and CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce work to a high standard.
- Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- A strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential for success in this role.
- Comfortable working on a rotating shift pattern, including day and night shifts.
