Newstaff Employment Services are looking to recruit an Events Coordinator for their client based in Luton Town Centre.
My client holds an array of functions from wedding and conferences to sporting events and exhibitions in their purpose built venue.
The salary is £16,800 as this is a permanent part time role of 30 hours per week. Monday to Friday 10am – 3pm with one Saturday per month 9am – 2.30pm – for working this you will then have the Monday off in return. This role is to start at the end of February.
My client is looking for an Events Coordinator who will be required to take control of the day to day conference & events enquiries. You will be required to take bookings for corporate meetings, private functions, weddings, Christmas Parties and more. You will efficiently handle all event enquiries and do your utmost to sell the facilities and guest experiences at their venue. The coordinator will get involved in every aspect from planning and booking to ensure that everything goes to plan. They require someone who is highly organised, computer literate and a team player.
Role and Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Dealing with initial enquiries, presenting rates and packages correctly
Preparing proposals for potential clients
Seeing enquiries all the way through from start to finish
Coordinating with all relevant parties
Establishing feedback mechanisms
Identifying opportunities and building relationships
Social Media skills & updating on a weekly basis
Sourcing potential advertising opportunities
Contributing innovative ideas & information on the website
Creating itineraries, menus & floor plans for events
Sourcing new suppliers for events
Creating News blogs for the website
Sending out newsletters to clients
