Fabricator Welder in Leighton Buzzard
Newstaff Employment is currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join a busy and well-established structural steel company based in Leighton Buzzard. This is a great opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking to join a professional team with long-term prospects.
📍 Location: Leighton Buzzard
💷 Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour
🗓️ Schedule: Monday to Friday
🕕 Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
🔧 Industry: Structural Steel
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld a variety of structural steel components
- Interpret and work from detailed technical engineering drawings
- Liaise effectively with the weld foreman and the drawing office to ensure project accuracy
- Conduct basic inspections and defect identification on fabricated work
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Follow all relevant health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience as a fabricator welder
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is essential
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team leads
- Keen eye for detail and quality assurance
- Knowledge of structural steelwork is highly desirable
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
