Factory Manager in Dunstable

Newstaff Recruitment Agency is recruiting for a Factory Manager on behalf of a company based in Dunstable.

Salary: £15.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay

Type: Full-Time, Shift Work (Days and Nights)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage a shift team of six employees
• Oversee the production process to ensure the timely and efficient manufacture of goods
• Monitor and manage team members’ timekeeping and attendance, addressing any issues related to sickness or absences
• Implement and maintain shift schedules for your team, ensuring optimal coverage and productivity
• Conduct quality checks on produced goods to ensure they meet the company’s standards
• Operate and manage machinery on the production floor, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the factory

Requirements:

• Previous experience in machine operation is desirable
• Proven experience in a team leader or supervisory role
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to implement and manage shift schedules
• Attention to detail for quality control purposes
• Good communication skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
