FLT Counterbalance Driver – Hemel Hempstead

Newstaff Employment is recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy warehouse team in Hemel Hempstead. The role will mainly involve working in the yard, unloading vehicles and moving goods safely and efficiently. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for an experienced forklift driver seeking a long-term position with the potential for permanent employment.

Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £13.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently.
• Unload incoming vehicles within the yard.
• Move, stack, and organise stock accurately.
• Keep goods moving efficiently between the yard and warehouse.
• Support general warehouse duties when required.
• Maintain clean and organised yard and loading areas.
• Follow all site rules and health and safety procedures.
• Report any equipment faults or safety concerns promptly.

Essential Skills & Experience

• You hold a valid Counterbalance forklift licence issued or renewed within the past three years.
• You have previous experience operating a Counterbalance forklift.
• A valid Reach forklift licence would also be advantageous.
• You are confident working within a busy yard and warehouse environment.
• You understand the importance of health and safety when operating warehouse equipment.
• You are reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• You have a positive attitude and can support other warehouse duties when required.
