Newstaff Driving Recruitment Agency in Bedford is currently looking for a HGV Class 1 Driver on behalf of our client based in Bedford.
HGV Class 1 Driver in Bedford
Location: Bedford
Requirements:
- Flexibility: Must be available to work Monday to Sunday, with start times ranging from 15:00 to 02:00. Drivers often have the option to select their preferred start time window.
- Vehicle Proficiency: Flexibility to operate all types of vehicles including Truck, Rigid, or Urban Trailers.
- Driving Record: No more than 6 points on your driving license.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an HGV 1 Driver.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in English language with effective communication abilities.
- Licenses: Must possess a valid UK Driving License, UK DIGI card, and UK CPC card.
Job Role:
- Conducting 1 or 2 store deliveries per day.
- Working an average 12-hour shift.
- Receiving daily bookings.
- Unloading cages/pallets as required.
PAYE Rates:
- Day Shift: £17 per hour
- Back Shift: £17.75 per hour
- Night Shift: £19.93 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £34 – £39.86 per hour
- Overtime: Paid after 45 hours, rates ranging from £22.73 to £25.66 per hour. Note: A 45-minute break will be paid after 12 weeks.
