HGV Class 2 Driver – Luton

Newstaff Employment is recruiting an HGV Class 2 Driver in Luton to complete palletised deliveries across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable driver looking for consistent Monday to Friday work, with both ongoing and temp-to-perm opportunities available.

Location: Luton
Salary: £18.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 am. Optional Saturday work may also be available during busy periods.
Job Type: Ongoing / Temp to Perm
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally.
• Complete palletised deliveries to customers across the UK.
• Load and unload goods when required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks before starting your route.
• Complete all delivery paperwork and driver records accurately.
• Plan and manage delivery routes efficiently.
• Communicate professionally with customers at delivery points.
• Follow all road traffic laws, Working Time Directive requirements, and company procedures.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety throughout each shift.

Essential Skills & Experience

• You hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• You hold a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• You have a reliable and professional approach to work.
• You have good communication and customer service skills.
• You can manage your workload and delivery schedule effectively.
• You are comfortable completing palletised deliveries across the UK.
• All levels of relevant driving experience will be considered.
• Experience driving in London would be advantageous but is not essential.
