Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced HGV1 Driver to operate from the Beeston/Sandy area in Bedfordshire; in this role, you will complete regional and long-distance deliveries safely, efficiently and in full compliance with transport regulations.
Location: Beeston / Sandy – Bedfordshire
Salary: £18.00 – £19.00 per hour
Working Hours: To be confirmed

Key Responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles confidently across regional and long-distance routes; therefore, deliveries arrive on time
- Complete deliveries efficiently while following all UK traffic laws and tachograph regulations
- Carry out thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards
- Record mileage, driving hours and delivery details accurately
- Load and unload goods safely when required
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report defects immediately
- Deliver professional and courteous customer service at each delivery point
- Follow company transport and safety policies at all times
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous HGV1 driving experience
- Strong knowledge of UK road transport regulations
- Reliable and safety-focused approach
- Good communication skills and professional attitude
