Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced HGV 2 Distance Driver in Aylesbury to join a growing logistics operation on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This role involves long-distance deliveries across various locations and offers a clear pathway to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Location: Aylesbury
Salary: £16.00–£17.00 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time (long-distance shifts)
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles for long-distance deliveries from Aylesbury
- Ensure goods are transported safely, securely, and on time
- Carry out pre-journey and post-journey vehicle checks
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any defects promptly
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and on time
- Communicate effectively with the logistics team and customers
- Assist with loading and unloading where required
- Follow all transport legislation, tachograph rules, and health & safety procedures
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience with long-distance or multi-drop driving
- Strong knowledge of UK road and transport regulations
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach
