Key Responsibilities
- Drive HGV2 vehicles confidently on long-distance night routes
- Complete detailed vehicle checks before departure; therefore, you ensure road safety and compliance
- Deliver goods safely and on schedule across regional and national routes
- Record mileage, delivery details and driving hours accurately to meet legal requirements
- Communicate clearly with dispatch teams so operations run smoothly
- Follow all UK transport laws and company safety procedures at all times
- Load and unload goods when required, securing cargo properly to prevent damage
- Handle any delivery changes or issues professionally to maintain service standards
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous long-distance or night driving experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of UK driving regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to manage long hours on the road responsibly
- Reliable, focused and self-motivated approach to work
