Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Long-Term Contract

Newstaff Education division are currently looking for a passionate and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a vibrant and supportive school on a long-term basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching and learning across the school, covering planned absences and PPA time.
- Lead small group interventions and whole class sessions where required.
- Assist in planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to raise achievement and ensure inclusion.
Requirements:
- HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience working in a UK primary or secondary school setting.
- Confident in delivering lessons to whole classes.
- Strong communication, organisational and behaviour management skills.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
