Newstaff Employment is hiring an innovative and skilled Injection Mould Designer in Stevnage to design and develop high-precision injection mould tools; in this role, you will create detailed CAD models, optimise performance and support in-house toolroom production across medical, automotive, switchgear and packaging sectors.
Location: Stevenage
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum + Benefits
Working Hours: 41.5 hours per week – Monday to Thursday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am–4:00 pm
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Design injection mould tools using advanced CAD software; therefore, production teams receive precise and manufacturable designs
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications to guide tool manufacture
- Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams so designs align with manufacturing capabilities
- Conduct simulations and performance analysis to optimise cycle times and tool efficiency
- Manage each design project from initial concept through to final production release
- Provide ongoing technical support throughout the injection moulding process
- Work on single impression and multi-cavity hot runner mould designs
- Stay informed about new materials, technologies and industry developments to improve design performance
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience designing injection mould tools
- Strong CAD proficiency and ability to produce detailed technical drawings
- Solid understanding of injection moulding processes and tooling principles
- Experience designing multi-cavity and hot runner systems
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects within set deadlines
- Clear communication skills and collaborative approach
