Internal Sales Account Executive

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire, England

£22k - 30k per year + BONUS

Newstaff Employment Services are looking to recruit an Internal Sales Account Executive for their client based in Luton – My client is only accepting applications for candidates who have experience in the non- ferrous metals industry.

  The role is a full time position, Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm and is office based.  The position is working for a thriving company who has offices based in 6 other locations across the UK.

The role entails:

  • To develop new business from new prospects, lapsed and current customers

  • To develop a contact plan with management to enable effective recruitment of new customers

  • To maintain and utilise the company database to allow full reporting of visits and customer/prospect information ( where applicable)

  • Daily communication/visits and progressive customer relationship management of small, medium and large sized accounts along with Inbound customer telephone, fax and e-mail order taking

  • Price Negotiation with customers in line with company pricing policy.

  • Sales administration and order processing via customer/product management software.

  • Purchasing negotiation and order processing via customer relationship management system when applicable

  • Internal liaison with office management and stock support function to enable business development

  • Attend meetings when required to aid performance of duties and support business/organisational development

  • To work within and follow quality management procedures in line with IS2001

  • Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policy-making as required.

    Key Competencies and Characteristics required:

  • Have a strong understanding of the non-ferrous metals industry

  • Self-Driven results orientated with a focus on margin growth and profitability.

  • Track record of new business development and account development over a period of years.

  • General business acumen, with an ability to understand basic business finances such as a profit and gross margin.

  • Excellent face to face and telephone communicator able to demonstrate success and experience managing large and small accounts.

  • Basic IT skills around Microsoft office software such as word, excel, and e-mail

  • The candidate must have worked within the metal industry and have a strong understanding of the non-ferrous metals industry.
