MOT Tester/Motor Mechanic in St Albans
Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced MOT Tester/Motor Mechanic in St Albans to join a well-established and busy garage workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a friendly team, working in a fast-paced environment with great long-term potential.
📍 Location: St Albans
💷 Salary: £35,000 per annum
⏰ Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm + every other Saturday
📌 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA requirements
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on vehicles
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance
- Work efficiently as part of a team of 9 skilled mechanics
- Ensure all work is completed to high safety and quality standards
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Valid MOT Tester certification
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and repair abilities
- A full UK driving licence
- A team player with a positive attitude
