Part-Time Drivers Mate in Houghton Regis
Newstaff Recruitment Agency is recruiting for a Part-Time Drivers Mate on behalf of our client based in Houghton Regis.
Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Working Hours:
- Saturdays: 6 am start (every week)
- 1 additional weekday (as scheduled)
Loading and Unloading Vehicles:
- Safely load goods onto delivery vehicles at the start of the shift, ensuring items are securely arranged.
- Unload vehicles upon return to the depot, adhering to company safety protocols.
Assisting During Deliveries:
- Support the driver in delivering goods to multiple locations across London.
- Help unload goods at customer sites, ensuring all deliveries are handled professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain excellent customer service during interactions with clients at delivery locations.
General Duties:
- Collaborate with the driver to ensure timely completion of delivery schedules.
- Follow health and safety guidelines while handling goods to minimise risks.
- Report any issues or discrepancies during deliveries to the driver or management promptly.
Essential Requirements:
- Comfortable with manual handling and lifting of goods throughout the day.
- Able to work effectively with the driver and contribute to a smooth delivery process.
- Punctual and able to adhere to the 6 am Saturday start time and other scheduled shifts.
- Friendly and professional attitude when dealing with customers.
- Willing to work Saturdays consistently and one additional weekday as required.
