Sales Executive

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, England

£20k - 25k per year + commission (reviewed annually)


    Newstaff Employment Services are looking to recruit a Sales Executive within the sales and marketing team for their client based in Hemel Hempstead.  The role requires to seek out sales to new potential Clients, to achieve the Company’s ambitions and sales targets, agreed with the board.  This role includes to seek out and close new business, build business beneficial relationships with potential customers, working to the agreed Sales Plan.  Identify and create profit from new business opportunities within the current database in line with business plans and financial targets.


    This role requires


    2+ years in a successful sales position within a Sales and Marketing environment


    Ability to demonstrate successful achievement of sales targets


    Must be a strong clear concise communicator in writing, speech and presentations


    Ability in Microsoft Office applications, good knowledge of web applications and Social media tactics


    Ability to demonstrate team membership, attention to detail and ability to plan and keep to timescales, ability to embrace change and quickly adapt, should the need arise

    Contribute to the team stability and achieve own and team agreed targets ensure all PMO agreed processes and documentation are adhered to


    Proactively look for efficiencies within your team’s ways of working and recommend them at team meetings and identify and recommend to the PMO, efficiencies within the Business


    The Sales and Marketing Department handles all promotions of the company’s products and all sales activities, in accordance with the Company’s Sales Plan.


    You will be tasked to bring the required product sales to the Business, to the agreed targets. 


    The prime activities are to gain and maintain an in depth understanding of the Company’s software products, to promote the company’s products and services and own and deliver your part in the Sales Plan.




      • identify and grow sales opportunities and proactively run telemarketing campaigns to seek out and new business primarily from their database, demonstrating the Company’s new products

      • work with Marketing to create emails and promotions to target and sell into specific trade sectors  to include attending trade shows, sales meetings and exhibitions to promote the clients products and identify sales opportunities

      • monitor and positively react to promotional activities, reporting outcomes regularly

      • negotiate all estimates and give firm quotations to maximize profits and ensure the company’s sales records are kept up to date and accurate

      • liaise with other members of the sales team to ensure accurate records and future appointments are kept  and monitor sales figures to ensure you reach, if not exceed, sales targets set by the Business

      • follow up all sales opportunities and identify and investigate new revenue streams

      • Produce quotations, contracts and installation documentation and any other documentation which will help ensure a smooth implementation of the system in line with Company agreed PMO processes. Pass any quotations and/or contracts to Programme Manager to agree budget and internal delivery

      • This role offers a commission package – as a flat rate on all new sales made and further sales to that candidate for the first year of them being with the client.
