Sheet metal worker
Newstaff are recruiting for a sheet metal worker for our client in Welwyn Garden city.
The position will be working within the Duct shop and Production to create a variety of ductwork to a high level and working alongside a team to make sure smooth running of the department. Some of the main duties will include constructing products including grill boxes, square to rounds, tapers, acoustic panels, straight pipe, spigots. IL`s, bird breakers and oval ductwork, read and interpret drawings, program and set up machinery, create canvas connections and any other tasks signed by line manager. In general the sheet metal worker should perform tasks that are assigned by the Production Office Manager and be willing to take on a diverse range of work including spot welding, spray ductwork, operation of the plasma and manufacture of different products.

- Be proactive in problem solving in certain situations
This position is Monday – Friday, 8:30am till 5:00pm. Some opportunity for overtime may be accessible.
