Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils with their learning and classroom activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support when required.
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and learning activities.
• Help pupils remain engaged and focused throughout the school day.
• Support children across Early Years, Key Stages 1–4, or SEN provisions.
• Encourage pupils to develop their confidence, independence, and social skills.
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support pupils with additional needs when required.
• Work closely with teachers and other education professionals.
• Adapt quickly to different schools, classrooms, and pupil needs.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous Teaching Assistant or classroom experience is desirable but not essential.
• You are caring, reliable, and proactive.
• You have a genuine interest in supporting children and young people.
• You communicate confidently with pupils and school staff.
• You can build positive and professional relationships with pupils.
• You can follow instructions while using your initiative when appropriate.
• You are adaptable and comfortable working across different school environments.
• You work effectively both independently and as part of a wider education team.
• Teaching Assistants, SEN Support Staff, and aspiring classroom assistants are encouraged to apply.
