Newstaff Recruitment Agency is currently looking for a Trade Counter Sales Assistant on behalf of our client based in Welwyn Garden City.
Trade Counter Sales Assistant in Welwyn
Pay: £11.00-£11.50 per hour
Location: Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, AL7
Employment Type: Permanent
Hours: Standard business hours, 8 am to 5 pm
- Handling inbound calls from tradespeople and consumers.
- Checking stock availability both through the system and in the warehouse.
- Managing deliveries into the warehouse as required.
- Dispatching goods to customers.
- Assisting customers in finding stock for collection.
- Logging sales and maintaining accurate records on the company’s system.
- Typing quotations and managing correspondence.
- Responding to emails in a timely and professional manner.
- Ordering and managing stock inventory.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in working at a Trade Counter or within a small business in the building trade sector.
- Computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A confident and effective telephone manner.
- Excellent teamwork capabilities, along with reliability, honesty, and flexibility.
- Strong communication skills and confidence in customer interactions.
