Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Transportation Manager in Aylesbury to oversee a busy logistics and transport operation. This is a permanent, senior-level role focused on planning, directing, and coordinating all transportation activities while leading teams, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency.
Location: Aylesbury
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: From 6:30 am

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transportation strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage daily transport operations, including route planning, scheduling, and capacity management
- Lead, manage, and mentor drivers and logistics staff
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and high performance
- Ensure full compliance with UK transport legislation and health & safety standards
- Monitor KPIs and prepare reports for senior management
- Manage transportation budgets and control departmental expenditure
- Collaborate with other departments to align transport operations with business objectives
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in transportation or logistics management
- Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and compliance
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- Confident communicator with a collaborative management style
