Warehouse Operative in Hemel Hempstead
Newstaff Recruitment Agency is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative on behalf of our client located in Hemel Hempstead.
Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm (Day Shifts)
Employment Type: Temporary (Immediate Start)
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Management:
- Accurately receive, check, and record incoming stock.
- Ensure correct labelling, storage, and organisation of goods in the warehouse.
Order Picking and Packing:
- Pick orders accurately and pack items securely to ensure safe delivery to customers.
- Follow specific order instructions and quality standards to meet customer expectations.
Loading and Unloading:
- Safely load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring minimal damage during handling.
- Use warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks (training provided where necessary).
Warehouse Organisation:
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment in line with company health and safety policies.
- Organise stock systematically to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
General Warehouse Duties:
- Conduct regular stock checks and inventory management to ensure accurate records.
- Assist with returns processing and re-stocking of goods as required.
Team Collaboration:
- Work effectively within a team to meet daily targets and deadlines.
- Participate in team briefings and follow instructions to ensure smooth operations.
Essential Requirements:
- Punctual and committed to completing shifts as scheduled.
- Comfortable with manual handling tasks and able to work on your feet for extended periods.
- Ensure accuracy in stock handling, picking, and packing.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues and maintain a positive working atmosphere.
- Willingness to adapt to different tasks and contracts as required.
