Warehouse/Van Driver in Luton
Newstaff Recruitment Agency is recruiting for a Warehouse/Van Driver on behalf of our client based in Luton.
Pay Rate: £28,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6 am start
Employment Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver company products to client sites, primarily in London, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs.
- Transport goods between the company’s factories, including regular trips to the Surrey location.
- Ensure the company van is maintained in good condition, including completing basic checks and reporting any issues promptly.
- Adhere to road safety regulations and delivery schedules.
- Provide excellent service to clients during deliveries, representing the company professionally.
- Handle any delivery queries or issues effectively.
Warehouse Duties:
- Assist with stock checks, organising inventory, and replenishing stock as needed.
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, and preparation of goods for future deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.
- Assist with loading and unloading goods from delivery vehicles.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in van driving, with a valid UK driving licence.
- Comfortable navigating routes in London and Surrey, including handling busy urban traffic.
- Ability to manage your schedule and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong time-management skills to meet delivery deadlines while balancing warehouse duties.
- Previous experience in warehousing, including tasks such as stock management and general organisation.
- Comfortable with manual handling and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Punctual, dependable, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
