Supervisor – (Yard Supervisor) Recycling Solutions (Commercial Waste Only)
Location: Milton Keynes (own transport needed due to location)
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 6:00pm, Every Other Saturday 6:00am – 12:00pm
Contract Type: Temp to Perm (via newstaff – Permanent after 3-month probation)
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Supervisor to join a fast-paced, commercial recycling business – no household waste involved. This is a hands-on role that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, so you must be comfortable and prepared for physical outdoor work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising yard operations and on-site staff
- Booking in and weighing lorries upon arrival and departure
- Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organized yard environment
- Overseeing the movement and storage of recyclable materials
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
- General housekeeping and yard upkeep duties
Requirements:
- Valid FLT Counterbalance Licence (essential)
- Previous supervisory experience within a similar environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead by example and ensure team productivity
- Comfortable working in an outdoor environment, rain or shine
