Newstaff Employment is hiring an Assembly Operative in Hitchin to join a growing manufacturing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to develop their skills in a supportive and friendly environment.
Location: Hitchin
Salary: £14.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Job Type: Full-time / Long-term Temporary

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble products and components to a high standard
- Follow work instructions and production procedures accurately
- Use hand tools and assembly equipment safely
- Carry out quality checks on finished products
- Report any faults or defects to the production team
- Keep the work area clean, tidy, and organised
- Work with colleagues to meet daily production targets
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous assembly or production experience is beneficial but not essential
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to producing high-quality work
