Business Development Manager (Construction) – Luton
Newstaff Employment is hiring an ambitious Business Development Manager in Luton to drive growth, win new clients, and build strategic partnerships within the construction and leisure sectors.
Location: Luton / Hybrid Working Available
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum basic + OTE + bonus + benefits
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am – 5:00 pm
Job Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within construction and leisure sectors
- Develop and deliver business growth strategies to meet targets
- Build and maintain strong client, stakeholder, and partner relationships
- Research market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
- Prepare and present winning proposals, tenders, and bids
- Work closely with project teams to align new opportunities with operational delivery
- Monitor client satisfaction and project outcomes to drive repeat business
- Attend networking events and industry meetings to raise brand awareness
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting through CRM systems
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven business development experience within construction, leisure, or similar sectors
- Strong understanding of construction processes, procurement, and project management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to build lasting client relationships
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to travel for meetings and industry events
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or similar is desirable but not essential
