Newstaff Employment is recruiting a Class 2 HGV Driver on behalf of our valued client based in Bedford. This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity offering regular Monday-to-Friday work and the potential to secure a permanent position with an established business.

Location: Bedford
Salary: £17.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Class 2 deliveries of plumbing equipment to customers.
• Complete deliveries safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Handle goods carefully during loading, transportation, and delivery.
• Complete all required delivery paperwork accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Follow road transport regulations, health and safety requirements, and company procedures.
• Maintain the vehicle to a professional standard.
• Provide a professional and friendly service when dealing with customers.
• Represent the company positively while completing deliveries.

Essential Skills & Experience

• You hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• You hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.
• You have a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• You have a good understanding of UK driving and road transport regulations.
• You are reliable, punctual, and professional.
• You have good communication and customer service skills.
• You can work independently and manage your delivery schedule effectively.
• Previous Class 2 delivery experience would be advantageous.
