CNC Operator Setter – Biggleswade
Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced CNC Operator Setter in Biggleswade to join a busy and growing manufacturing company. In this role, you will set, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. In addition, you will work closely with the production team to ensure smooth and accurate machining processes each day.
Location: Biggleswade
Salary: £16.00 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Job Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines using job sheets and engineering drawings
- Read and follow technical drawings and specifications accurately
- Monitor machine performance and adjust settings when needed
- Carry out quality checks to ensure finished parts meet required standards
- Complete routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
- Identify minor machine faults and report larger issues to the maintenance team
- Keep accurate production and quality records
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Work closely with the production team to maintain smooth operations
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a CNC Operator Setter within a manufacturing environment
- Strong ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Good knowledge of CNC machines and tooling
- High attention to detail and focus on quality
- Ability to solve minor machine issues quickly and safely
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of health and safety within manufacturing
- Reliable, flexible, and hard-working attitude
