Newstaff Employment is recruiting an experienced CNC Operator to join a large and well-established engineering company in Stevenage. You will operate CNC machinery, produce high-quality components, and carry out regular quality checks. Location: Stevenage
Salary: £16.00 – £24.00 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am – 4:00 pm
Job Type: Full-time / Long-term Temporary

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently.
• Produce components accurately to the required specifications.
• Set and monitor machinery throughout the production process.
• Carry out regular quality checks on completed components.
• Identify and report production or quality issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate production records when required.
• Keep machinery and surrounding work areas clean and organised.
• Work closely with the wider engineering and production team.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

• You have previous experience operating CNC machinery.
• You have strong attention to detail and take pride in producing high-quality work.
• You can follow technical instructions and production specifications accurately.
• You understand the importance of quality control within an engineering environment.
• You can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• You are reliable and have good attendance and timekeeping.
• You have a positive attitude and are keen to develop your CNC and engineering skills.
