Contract Manager (Construction) – Luton
Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Contract Manager in Luton to oversee contract processes across multiple construction projects and ensure successful delivery on time and within budget.
Location: Luton
Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am – 5:00 pm
Job Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full contract lifecycle from preparation and negotiation to completion
- Review contract documents for accuracy, compliance, and completeness
- Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Monitor project progress and ensure all contractual obligations are met
- Identify and reduce risks linked to contracts and project delivery
- Resolve disputes and claims through effective negotiation
- Maintain all contract records and documentation in line with company procedures
- Keep up to date with construction law, regulations, and industry best practice
- Support project teams with contractual guidance and commercial advice
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree in Construction Management, Contract Law, or related field
- Proven experience as a Contract Manager within the construction sector
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and legal terminology
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
- Proficient with contract management systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Professional certification, such as CCM or CPCM is advantageous
