Conveyancing Paralegal in Harpenden
Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Paralegal in Harpenden to join the Conveyancing department of a highly successful and well-established law firm. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a busy, professional legal environment where you’ll provide essential support on a wide range of property transactions.
📍 Location: Harpenden
💷 Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per annum
⏰ Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:15 pm
📌 Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and manage conveyancing files from instruction to post-completion
- Obtain title deeds, Land Registry titles, and plans
- Prepare contract packs and legal documentation
- Check and respond to post, addressing relevant matters
- Handle post-completion tasks efficiently and accurately
- Liaise professionally with clients, estate agents, lenders, and solicitors
- Ensure all client details are updated and correctly recorded
- Scan, copy, and file documents in line with case management procedures
- Fully utilise the Case Management System
- Provide additional support to fee earners in the department as needed
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Conveyancing Paralegal role
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent telephone manner and written communication
- Ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment
- High level of accuracy and keen attention to detail
- Confident working independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word
- Experience with legal case management systems
- Calm under pressure with a proactive, can-do attitude
