CSCS HGV Class 2 Flatbed Driver – Hounslow

Newstaff Employment is recruiting an experienced CSCS HGV Class 2 Flatbed Driver for construction transport work in the Hounslow and Heathrow area. You will operate an HGV Class 2 flatbed vehicle, transport heavy construction materials, and deliver loads safely to construction sites. This role requires a valid Class 2 licence, a current CSCS card, and previous flatbed driving experience.

Location: Hounslow / Heathrow
Salary: £18.00 per hour
Working Hours: 4 on, 4 off rolling shift pattern
Job Type: HGV Class 2 / Construction Flatbed Driving

Key Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 flatbed vehicles safely and professionally.
• Transport heavy goods and construction materials to various sites.
• Secure loads correctly before starting each journey.
• Use appropriate load-securing equipment and techniques.
• Check load security throughout the working day when required.
• Complete deliveries safely and within agreed schedules.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each journey.
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery and mileage records.
• Complete all required driver documentation.
• Coordinate with site managers and other team members.
• Follow instructions when entering and working on construction sites.
• Comply with UK road transport regulations.
• Follow construction site health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional approach when dealing with customers and site teams.

Essential Skills & Experience

• You hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• You hold a current CSCS card.
• You have previous HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• You have experience driving flatbed vehicles.
• Ideally, you have worked within construction or a related industry.
• You understand safe load-securing techniques.
• You are confident transporting heavy goods and construction materials.
• You understand relevant road transport regulations.
• You have a strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• You have a professional and safety-focused approach to driving.
• You can manage routes and delivery schedules effectively.
• You can work independently when required.
• You have good communication and customer service skills.
• You are flexible and comfortable working a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.
