Driver/Yard Operatives in Bedford
Pay: £11.42 per hour + accrued holiday pay
Location: Bedford
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Part-Time with Guaranteed Shifts
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
- No more than 6 points on your license.
- Must have good English language and communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills are essential.
- Capable of conducting daily vehicle checks.
- Must be able to work weekends.
Shifts:
- Option 1: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
- Option 2: Thursday, Friday & Saturday
- Minimum 20 hours per week, with extra hours available upon request.
About the Role:
- Efficiently store and park all vehicles on site, coordinating between the yard and auction halls, and through valet/wash services.
- Barcode all new vehicles upon arrival and tag keys for identification.
- Electronically log and secure any valuable items left in vehicles.
- Provide jump-start assistance for vehicles as needed, with on-site training provided.
- Organize vehicles for auction, ensuring they are lined, lotted, neat, and presentable.
- Maintain a high standard of driving and adhere to on-site speed limits to ensure the safety of all vehicles and individuals.
- Follow the company’s health and safety standards diligently to prevent accidents.
- Address any issues, queries, or complaints by referring them to the relevant manager.
- Support the yard department in various tasks to meet operational needs.
