Newstaff Employment is hiring an Experienced Roller Shutter Engineer on behalf of a well-established company based near Ampthill. In this role, you will install, service, maintain, and repair manual and motorised roller shutters at commercial sites across the UK. Location: Ampthill (Nationwide Travel Required)
Salary: £28,000 basic salary
OTE: £42,000+ with overtime
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 6:00 pm
Job Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, maintain, and repair manual and motorised roller shutters
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
- Work as part of a two-person engineering team
- Complete site surveys and job documentation accurately
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Deliver excellent customer service while on-site
- Travel to customer locations across the UK
- Stay overnight when required for distant projects
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum two years of experience installing and repairing roller shutters
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with manual and motorised shutter systems
- Full UK driving licence required
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail when completing paperwork and surveys
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Must live within approximately 40 minutes of Ampthill
Desirable Qualifications
- CSCS Skilled Worker Card
- Electrical qualifications
- Blue Card
- Experience working within commercial environments such as shopping centres, airports, and retail sites
Please note: DBS and CRC checks may be required for certain high-security sites, including airports.
