Newstaff Hospitality Recruitment Agency is currently looking for a Head Chef or Sous Chef on behalf of our client based in Bury St Edmunds.
Head Chef or Sous Chef in Bury St Edmunds
Location: Bury Saint Edmunds, Ipswich, Suffolk IP32
Salary:
- Sous Chef: £18.00 per hour.
- Head Chef: £22.00 – £22.00 per hour.
Main Duties:
- Capable of covering dinner shifts independently when required.
- Participate in and supervise the cooking of food according to established recipes and methods.
- Ensure all dishes are correctly garnished before being sent to relevant outlets.
- Prepare dishes in a timely manner to meet service requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation of the work area.
- Handle and maintain equipment and utensils in the section.
- Address guest comments and complaints constructively and empathetically.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Fully aware and compliant with Health and Hygiene Policy and Procedures.
- Knowledgeable about Food Hygiene Regulations and Health and Safety Procedures.
- Familiar with Current Licensing Regulations and method of payment.
- Able to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
