Newstaff Employment is hiring experienced HGV1 Drivers in Luton to transport commercial goods safely and efficiently while supporting reliable logistics operations.
Location: Luton
Salary: £18.00 – £19.00 per hour
Working Hours: Various shifts available
Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing

Key Responsibilities
- Operate HGV1 vehicles to transport goods safely and on time
- Complete pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery, mileage, and compliance records
- Communicate clearly with dispatch teams and customers
- Follow all road transport laws and company procedures
- Manage delivery schedules efficiently
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when required
- Keep vehicles clean and report defects promptly
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Valid CPC qualification card
- Digital tachograph card
- Proven experience as an HGV1 Driver, ideally in a commercial environment
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and road safety standards
- Excellent driving record with a safety-first attitude
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Flexible approach to various shift patterns
