Newstaff Employment is hiring a reliable HGV2 Refuse Driver in Luton to complete refuse and recycling collections safely while helping keep the local community clean and organised.
Location: Luton
Salary: £16.71 per hour
Working Hours: Early starts and varied shift patterns
Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing

Key Responsibilities
- Drive HGV2 vehicles on planned refuse collection routes across Luton
- Collect refuse and recycling from residential and commercial locations
- Work closely with loaders to complete collections safely and efficiently
- Carry out pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
- Report maintenance issues or defects promptly
- Maintain accurate records of collections and vehicle checks
- Follow all health and safety and waste management procedures
- Provide a professional and courteous service to the public
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC qualification card
- Digital tachograph card
- Previous HGV2 driving experience, ideally in refuse collection
- Strong understanding of road safety and health and safety regulations
- Reliable, punctual, and team-focused attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Physically fit and able to support manual duties when required
- Flexible approach to early starts and shift patterns
