Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced HGV Class 2 Beavertail Driver on behalf of our client based in Hockliffe. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting plant, machinery, and equipment safely across the UK while delivering a professional service to customers. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver looking for ongoing work with competitive pay and long-term opportunities.
Location: Hockliffe
Salary: £18.50 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with overtime available
Job Type: Ongoing Temporary

Key Responsibilities
- Complete nationwide deliveries and collections of plant, machinery, and equipment
- Operate a Class 2 Beavertail vehicle safely and efficiently
- Load, secure, and transport equipment in line with transport regulations
- Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects
- Maintain the vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and roadworthiness
- Complete delivery paperwork and driver records accurately
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery and collection
- Follow all road transport, health and safety, and company procedures at all times
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Beavertail or plant transport experience is preferred
- Good understanding of load restraint and transport regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, flexible, and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
