Newstaff Employment is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers for ongoing driving and delivery work based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving role involves completing local and regional deliveries, transporting goods safely to customers, and assisting with loading and unloading when required. You will also carry out daily vehicle safety checks, complete delivery paperwork, and follow UK Drivers’ Hours and tachograph regulations. Regular shifts and ongoing work opportunities are available for reliable and professional drivers.

Salary: £36,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete local and regional delivery routes.
• Transport goods safely to customers and delivery locations.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when required.
• Check goods and delivery information for accuracy.
• Follow planned routes and delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections.
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly.
• Complete delivery paperwork and transport documentation.
• Maintain accurate tachograph and driving records.
• Follow UK Drivers’ Hours and Working Time regulations.
• Comply with road traffic and transport legislation.
• Communicate professionally with customers and transport teams.
• Follow company health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach.

Essential Skills & Experience

• You hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• You hold a valid Driver CPC qualification.
• You hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• You have previous HGV driving experience.
• You understand UK Drivers’ Hours and tachograph regulations.
• You have a good knowledge of road safety requirements.
• You can complete daily vehicle safety checks.
• You are confident completing local and regional deliveries.
• You can follow delivery instructions and schedules accurately.
• You are comfortable assisting with loading and unloading when required.
• You can complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• You have good communication and customer service skills.
• You are reliable, punctual, and professional.
• You can work independently throughout the day.
• You have a safe and responsible approach to driving.
