Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver in Leighton Buzzard for a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity. In this role, you will complete deliveries safely and efficiently while supporting a busy transport operation. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for a reliable, professional driver seeking long-term employment with a well-established company.
Location: Leighton Buzzard
Salary: £16.78 per hour (£34,912.71 per annum)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Start Time: 5:00am
Job Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities
- Complete HGV Class 2 deliveries safely and on time
- Carry out vehicle checks before and after each shift
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately
- Follow all road transport and health and safety regulations
- Maintain a professional and courteous approach with customers
- Communicate effectively with transport teams and colleagues
- Support urgent operational requirements when required
- Keep vehicles clean and roadworthy at all times
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
- Less than 6 points on driving licence
- Good communication and time management skills
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Flexible approach to working hours and business needs
- Strong understanding of driver responsibilities and road safety regulations
