HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver – Luton
Newstaff Employment is recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 HIAB Driver for equipment delivery work based in Luton. You will operate a Class 2 vehicle and HIAB to complete customer deliveries across the South of England. Once deliveries are complete, you will also support the team with general yard duties when required.
Location: Luton
Salary: £20.00 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am start

Key Responsibilities
- Drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally.
- Complete equipment deliveries across the South of England.
- Operate the HIAB safely when completing deliveries.
- Load and unload equipment using the HIAB.
- Ensure loads are secure before starting each journey.
- Follow planned delivery routes and schedules.
- Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Complete HIAB safety checks before use.
- Report vehicle or equipment defects promptly.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
- Communicate professionally with customers.
- Assist with general yard duties after completing deliveries.
- Keep vehicles and working areas safe and tidy.
- Follow UK road traffic and transport regulations.
- Comply with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time rules.
- Follow company health and safety procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience
- You hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- You hold a valid HIAB qualification.
- You hold a valid Driver CPC.
- You hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- You have previous HGV Class 2 driving experience.
- You have experience operating a HIAB safely.
- You understand safe loading and load restraint procedures.
- You have a professional and safety-focused approach to driving.
- You are comfortable assisting with yard duties.
- You are reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- You have good communication and customer service skills.
- You can work independently and follow delivery schedules.
- You are available for 6:00 am starts.
