Newstaff Employment is recruiting an HGV2 Driver for palletised delivery work based in Luton. You will complete Class 2 deliveries to locations across the UK, transporting palletised goods safely and efficiently. All levels of HGV2 driving experience will be considered, with ongoing work and a temporary-to-permanent opportunity available.

Location: Luton
Salary: £18.00 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 am. Optional Saturdays may be available during busy periods
Job Type: Ongoing / Temp-to-Perm
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally.
• Complete palletised deliveries across the UK.
• Deliver goods safely and within agreed schedules.
• Complete deliveries to London when required.
• Follow planned routes and delivery instructions.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks before each shift.
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance issues promptly.
• Check loads are safe and secure before departure.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Maintain accurate driver records.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Follow UK road traffic and transport regulations.
• Comply with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time rules.
• Follow company health and safety procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

• You hold a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• You hold a valid Driver CPC.
• You hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• All levels of HGV Class 2 driving experience will be considered.
• You have a safe and professional approach to driving.
• You can complete palletised deliveries safely.
• You can follow delivery routes and schedules.
• You are reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• You have good communication skills.
• You can work independently throughout the day.
• You are flexible regarding delivery locations.
• You are available for a 7:00 am start.
