HGV2 Refuse Driver – Luton
Newstaff Employment is hiring a reliable and experienced HGV 2 Refuse Driver in Luton to support local waste and recycling operations. This role plays a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness of the community through safe and efficient refuse collection.
Location: Luton
Salary: £16.71 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time (early starts, shift details to be confirmed)
Job Type: Temporary / Ongoing

Key Responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles on designated refuse and recycling routes in Luton
- Collect refuse and recycling from residential and commercial locations
- Work closely with loaders to ensure safe and efficient collections
- Carry out pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspections
- Report defects or maintenance issues promptly
- Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies
- Complete required paperwork and daily records accurately
- Interact professionally and courteously with members of the public
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Experience in refuse, recycling, or similar driving roles (preferred)
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations
- Reliable, team-focused, and physically fit
