HGV2 Refuse Driver – Stevenage
Newstaff Employment is hiring a reliable HGV 2 Refuse Driver in Stevenage to support local waste and recycling collections; in this role, you will operate refuse vehicles safely, work closely with loaders and help keep communities clean and well-maintained.

Salary: £17.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities
- Drive HGV Class 2 refuse vehicles safely along allocated collection routes; therefore, collections run on schedule
- Collect and transport waste and recycling materials from residential and commercial properties
- Work closely with loaders so collections remain efficient and safe
- Complete vehicle checks before and after each shift to maintain roadworthiness
- Record daily collections and mileage accurately
- Follow all health and safety procedures to protect colleagues and the public
- Deliver professional and courteous service when interacting with residents
Essential Skills & Experience
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous refuse or multi-drop driving experience preferred
- Strong awareness of road safety and operational procedures
- Reliable and punctual approach to work
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
