Newstaff Employment is hiring a caring and committed Level 3 Nursery Practitioner in Luton to support young children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating nursery environment while promoting their early learning and development.

Location: Luton
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Working Hours: Full-time hours, start date as soon as possible
Job Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support children aged 0–5 in a safe and engaging nursery setting
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support learning and development
• Create a positive environment that encourages emotional, social, and educational growth
• Observe children’s progress and maintain accurate development records
• Support children’s daily routines, including play, learning, and wellbeing
• Build positive relationships with parents and carers and provide regular updates
• Work closely with colleagues to maintain a high standard of care across the nursery
• Follow nursery policies and procedures at all times

Essential Skills & Experience

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
• Strong understanding of child development and the early years curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• Caring, patient, and professional approach
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one
