Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Lighting Technician to join a busy warehouse operations team in St Albans. In this role, you will prepare, maintain, and test lighting equipment used for events and productions. In addition, you will support warehouse operations and occasionally attend on-site jobs when required. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for someone with lighting and event experience seeking long-term career progression.
Location: St Albans
Salary: Competitive salary with permanent salary up to £35,000 per annum after a temporary period
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Job Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, maintain, and test lighting equipment and fixtures
- Inspect lighting stock and report any faults or damage
- Prepare and pack lighting equipment for events and productions
- Ensure all equipment is stored safely and correctly
- Support technical and production teams with event requirements
- Follow all warehouse health and safety procedures
- Assist with occasional on-site work when required
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and efficient
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Lighting Technician within a warehouse or event environment
- Good knowledge of lighting equipment and maintenance procedures
- Ability to work accurately within a busy warehouse setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties
- Good attention to detail and focus on safety
- Reliable and hard-working attitude
