Line Operative Nights

Newstaff Employment Services Milton Keynes are currently recruiting experienced Line Operatives to join a well-established global manufacturing business based in Flitwick

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous production or manufacturing experience who is looking for a long-term role working a Tuesday to Friday night shift.

⭐ THE ROLE

You will be working as part of a busy production team manufacturing plastic caps and closures for the packaging industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

• 📦 Erecting cardboard cartons and attaching labels
• 🔍 Carrying out quality checks on products
• 📦 Making up boxes and preparing products for packing
• 🏗️ Stacking pallets with completed boxes
• 🚚 Moving cartons and bulk bins to and from production machinery
• 📝 Completing production paperwork accurately
• 🧹 Keeping the production area clean, tidy and organised
• ✅ Following all company health, safety and quality procedures

👷 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You will need:

• Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a similar Line Operative role
• To be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• The ability to stand and work for a 12-hour shift
• Good written and spoken English
• Good basic numeracy skills
• A reliable attitude and excellent attendance
• The flexibility to complete the required training before moving onto nights

💷 PAY & SHIFTS

Night shift:
Tuesday to Friday
8:00pm – 8:00am
£12.95 per hour + 22% night shift premium = £15.80 per hour

Training:
For approximately the first 3–4 weeks, you will work the 8:00am–8:00pm shift, Monday to Friday, while you complete your training.

Once fully trained, you will move onto the Tuesday to Friday, 8:00pm–8:00am night shift.
