Newstaff Employment is hiring a Machine Operative to join a busy manufacturing company in Leighton Buzzard. In this role, you will operate and maintain production machinery while ensuring products are manufactured to the required quality standards. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual looking to develop their skills within a supportive manufacturing environment.
Location: Leighton Buzzard
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
Job Type: Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently
- Set up and adjust machines to meet production requirements
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of machinery
- Report faults, defects, or production issues promptly
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
- Work closely with colleagues to achieve production targets
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a Machine Operative or within a manufacturing environment is advantageous
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong manual dexterity and technical aptitude
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Understanding of health and safety procedures within manufacturing
- Flexible approach to work when required
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
