Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced MIG Welder in Hitchin to join a busy fabrication team, producing high-quality metalwork within a fast-paced and safety-focused environment.
Location: Hitchin
Salary: £15.00 – £20.00 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Job Type: Full-time / Ongoing

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG welding on metal components and fabrication projects
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
- Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards
- Inspect completed welds and carry out quality checks
- Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Work with the production team to meet deadlines and targets
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a MIG Welder
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Good understanding of welding safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Welding qualifications or certifications are advantageous
- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role
- Reliable, punctual, and hard-working attitude
