Newstaff Employment is recruiting experienced MIG Welders to join a large, well-established engineering production company in Stevenage. You will MIG weld and fabricate components to a high standard while working from engineering drawings and specifications. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for welders looking for long-term work, career progression, and the potential to secure a permanent position.

Location: Stevenage
Salary: £16.00 – £24.00 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am – 4:00 pm
Job Type: Full-time / Long-term Temporary

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out MIG welding on engineering and production components.
• Fabricate components to engineering specifications.
• Read and work accurately from engineering drawings.
• Produce consistently high-quality welds.
• Inspect completed work and identify any defects.
• Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
• Work with the wider production team to achieve manufacturing targets.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience

• You have previous MIG welding experience.
• Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or production environment is advantageous.
• You can work accurately from engineering drawings and specifications.
• You have strong attention to detail and take pride in producing high-quality work.
• You understand the importance of health and safety within an engineering environment.
• You are reliable and have good attendance and timekeeping.
• You can work effectively both independently and as part of a production team.
• Welders with different levels of experience will be considered.
