Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Painter and Decorator on behalf of our client based in Luton. In this role, you will complete a variety of painting and decorating projects across commercial, public sector, and framework contracts while delivering a high standard of workmanship. Therefore, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced decorator seeking a permanent role with competitive benefits and long-term career development.
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Key Responsibilities
- Complete a wide range of painting and decorating work to a high standard
- Prepare walls, ceilings, woodwork, and other surfaces before decorating
- Apply paint, coatings, and decorative finishes
- Protect surrounding areas, furniture, and equipment before starting work
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organised
- Follow all company health and safety procedures
- Travel to different client sites when required
- Work closely with colleagues to complete projects on time
- Represent the company professionally while working at customer locations
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous professional painting and decorating experience
- Experience working on commercial or public sector projects is desirable
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable, motivated, and professional approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Right to work in the UK
Due to the nature of the contracts, successful applicants may also be required to complete a DBS check or additional client security checks, including BPSS clearance or site-specific vetting where required.
